BioI am a nerd married to a fabulous professor of entomology. I specialized in New Orleans history in college, with minors in Women's Studies, English, African-American Literature, and Anthropology. I have been to Mardi Gras eleven times, and hope that we can make it again for the upcoming season. We have friends all over the country and in other parts of the world, because academics travel - a lot. I am a house-husband, mainly because I am unable to work due to physical disabilities. However, being disabled doesn't mean "unable to do anything at all." This is my story, finally shared with others, at a time in my life when I decided that I needed to help others, despite the cost to myself.
